About Us

I’m a dad, a coach, and someone who has loved baseball and softball for as long as I can remember.

I played baseball for 15 years and continued playing slow-pitch softball for another 15 after that. When my oldest daughter was 6 years old, I started coaching her softball team, and I’ve been coaching baseball, softball, or soccer almost constantly for the last 8 years.

I have three kids — two girls and a boy — and a huge part of our life revolves around practices, games, tournaments, late nights at the ballfield, and everything that comes with youth sports.

I was raised believing that you give your time, experience, and values back to the next generation. That’s something I try to bring into every team I coach. Hard work, respect, sportsmanship, learning how to win, and learning how to lose all matter just as much as the game itself.

If you spend time around ballfields, you know it’s its own world. Whether your family is deep into travel ball or just enjoying rec league games for fun, there’s a shared experience that comes with it — the chaos, the laughs, the long weekends, the snack shack dinners, and the memories that stick with you forever.

Chico Sport Design started from conversations with my oldest daughter about creating fun shirts that represent that lifestyle and sense of humor that softball and baseball families understand immediately. Since I’m also an IT nerd, I built the website myself and decided to share our ideas with everyone else who lives the sports life too.

We’re based out of Chico, and all orders are handled online and shipped throughout the U.S.
